Our Goals
Our program is based on the idea that the classroom has no walls. Children thrive on learning outside through the power of play. Utilizing all of their senses and creativity is the heart of this program. We are located on a huge lot at a local church surrounded by nature. We focus on educating outside and discovering new things in nature!
Play
and move
We value children lead play and learning. We also give time for play and start activities when most are ready and others decide when they would like to join. We know that sitting can be hard for long periods of time and moving is always allowed. Social interaction is of most importance!
Learn
academically and real life skills
Academics are always amazing but we also value real-life skills. We try and incorporate skills that children can use in their daily life such as woodworking, survival skills, nature identification, gardening, using tools and so much more. We also value community members to come and help because, as they say, "it takes a village".
Explore
the outdoors
Being outside is very important to us. We explore nature daily and use nature for almost all activities. Daily hikes are incorporated in our schedule. We are located on the Dizney hiking trail but we have many other trails we have found and utilize.
